Whatever I write, will not shed any unique plot points or give away spoilers for this Endgame

Folks like us who have lived the past decade or so gorging off the MCU, very well know the Characters, Situations and Dynamics that this entire Universe has come to project

So armed with a simple one liner to describe the plot here, I dive headlong to answer that One Primal Question?

Does It Work?

I will begin a dissection of this one with my thoughts on the Director Duo

Avengers: Endgame is the result of the vision of The Russo Brothers and boy do they choose to go out with a BANG

The Russo Brothers having helmed 4 installments in this Universe having displayed a sense of maturity with every outing

Every movie they have helmed shows their progression by leaps and bounds

The way their stories move, how they make us care and what they do with their characters TRULY STAYS with you

Since The Winter Soldier leading right until now, their directorial skills have kept on enhancing

Not only have they chosen to end this saga on the right note, they have also added the much needed emotional heft

The reason why this is so essential to their story telling is because when this saga ends, I have to care…

I have to care not only for this tale of superheroes, I also have to care about what happens to them…

On this specific count, The Russo Brothers have won me over

Their approach to this one is Clinical and Precise

The opening scenes, the First Act, Middle and Third Acts are carefully constructed pieces of NARRATIVE PLOYS that are meant to progress the story

While this story progresses, their well planned move also ensures that the Audiences HAVE to MOVE along with the NARRATIVE and are left with no choice but to hang on

There is an intent and purpose to the way the screen play is devised

The Slow Burn of the First, the progression of purpose during the 2nd which leads eventually to the epic finale of the 3rd are exactly how The Russo’s keep us hooked to our seats

During the entire narrative, there are some deftly executed sequences that lend gravitas to those respective Acts

Every now and then even when there are revelations made on screen, The Russo’s manage to evoke Claps, Whistles, Screams and Thunderous Applause from us: The Audiences

Now this is the HALLMARK of Typical Commercial Blockbuster Cinema that is JUST meant to ENTERTAIN

However, The Russo’s go ahead and add another trait

Not only does it Entertain, it also makes us APPLAUD for the Story and it’s Characters!

To point out what doesn’t work would be to commit disservice to the efforts of The Russo’s and their Team

On this one, I will just point out what TRULY works:

  • The Musical Score by Silvestri, Epic and Heartfelt
  • The VFX, CGI and Action Set Pieces: A Visual Treat and Grandiose in Nature
  • The Cinematography: Gives us Surreal Landscapes of the Earth and Space alike
  • The Performances: Every Actor here worth their salt, delivers and does with utmost conviction

It truly shows in their efforts, their expressions and their enactment of certain scenes

  • The Direction: Is there anything else that I need to add?

I have already covered the glorious attempt of The Russo’s and how they have made me feel everything for the characters

So, is there truly anything not to like about Avengers: Endgame?

  • For fans and audiences who have grown on this Universe, there will be certain things you would have wished could have been there

If I choose to point them out here, it will be akin to speaking about spoilers

All I can say is, Avengers: Endgame is the stuff Commercial Cinema is made of

The reason why I emphasize on Full Blown Commercial Cinema is because of it’s reach

Movies being a Visual Medium of essaying stories is also the most Influential one

When we sit down in a theater to witness a story, everything plays it’s part

The Cinematography, Story, Screen play, Dialogues, Performances, VFX/CGI, Music and Direction along with many others

These aspects of a Movie are what enhance our viewing experience and make US FEEL

The feeling of cheering, shouting, clapping, crying, gasping

What I am trying to get at here is the EMOTIONS!

For a movie to allow me to display myriad emotions covering the entire spectrum of feelings is the most Amazing Feeling

I urge all of those who haven’t witnessed this to watch it on the biggest screen possible

Avengers: Endgame is rightly an Endearing Culmination of a Fascinating Universe and the trigger to tons of emotions

I suggest the nearest theater to witness this Endgame, Whatever it Takes!
