This year saw some big blockbuster hits from varied genres, whether it be a super-hero actioner (Avengers: Age of Ultron) or an erotic love story (50 Shades of Grey). However, the biggest hit of the year was the mammoth thriller on extinct creatures, “Jurassic World“. Following it was another action-packed blockbuster “Furious 7“, which also played out as an ode to the series star Paul Walker whose tragic death delayed the release. Ironically, both the top two hits of the year were made by Universal Pictures.
