Trailer Watch: Keanu Reeves Defends Renee Zellweger In Crime Drama “The Whole Truth”

Keanu Reeves is back doing what he does best after a brief hiatus. The John Wick star plays an attorney in the upcoming crime / court drama The Whole Truth. The movie also stars Renee Zellweger, whose recemt flick Bridget Jones Baby opened to a lukewarm response, albeit with solid reviews. Here is the first trailer of The Whole Truth below:

The Whole Truth centers around defense attorney Richard Ramsay (Reeves) after he’s hired by his widowed friend, Loretta Lassiter (Zellweger), and promises to keep her son Mike (Gabriel Basso) out of prison after he’s charged with murdering his father. As he uses the evidence to get his client acquitted, he begins to realize that there might be more to this story than he originally thought.

Interestingly, this movie had Daniel Craig in the lead role, who dropped out just few days before beginning the shoot. The Whole Truth is directed by Courtney Hunt and will be released in theatres on October 21, 2016.
